Coord Group (aka Projects Pack)
Purpose
The Coord Group is a bit like an Executive Group, a bit like an Incubation Committee. Its purpose is to coordinate OKFN projects and working groups, to keep everyone up-to-date with what is going on throughout the network, to suggest activities, to answer questions, and to help people in the Open Knowledge community to organise themselves.
Every project and working group of the Open Knowledge Foundation should have a representative on the Coord Group.

Aims/ Goals
- Growing community. Making sure every project and group has (i) a key contact person and (ii) a regular public meeting. Helping to ensure that OKF is truly 'community driven'.
- Thinking about where next. Formulation of strategy for OKF community: identifying challenges and opportunities. E.g. funding, collaboration with other organizations, projects,
- Deciding what we need. Technical requirements - e.g. for website, communications infrastructure, etc. Allocation of time and resources.
- Prioritizing areas of work.
- Reviewing how we are doing. Setting and following up targets, reviewing OKF's activities.
- Communicating. Getting in touch with people. Blogging about what we are doing. Keep everyone updated. Report developments to other OKF folk.
- Every group a project, every project a group! Making sure that every group has a project or task to work on - however big or small. Making sure that every project or activity has a person or group primarily responsible for it.
- Passing the 'hit by a bus' test? I.e. if one or several core people vanished off the face of the earth - would core activities continue? Making sure at least two people have access to relevant servers and documents, etc.
