Rough Rules
- Whenever a new contact is brought on to the team, they should be announced on OKFN discuss by someone from core OKF team. They should also be encouraged to write their own introduction to any relevant project mailing lists.
- Important contacts must be registered in either Xero or Highrise or both. Anyone who has a contract with the OKF must have a designated contact. For any kind kind of financial transaction, there should also be a contact.
- Forward any initial contact emails to the Highrise Dropbox to give others the background
- Each project must have a thorough FAQ (exemplary case: http://lod2.okfn.org/frequently-asked-questions/)
- All central OKF people should attend the coord meeting
- Email Policy - All matters should be discussed in the open (i.e. via mailing lists/ IRC/ Skype) unless conversations include specific sensitive information, such as financial information or people's personal information, contact details etc.
Priorities and Tasks
- First port of call for each person every morning should be http://trac.okfn.org/ - open trac and look at open tickets. All tasks that can be public should be registered on trac. Update all tickets that you have been working on.
- Make the distinction between personal task lists (which can be kept wherever you like) but project and shared tasks should be kept somewhere communal. We will try and use project specific task managers where possible and information can be made public (e.g. trac...) but where this is not possible, or for general or private tasks, please use Basecamp- keep these updated!
- Funding application deadlines are 24hours prior to Funding application submission deadlines
