Open Textbook Virtual Meeting, 20th May 2009

The Community College Open Textbook Project, California Digital Marketplace, and the Open Knowledge Foundation invite those with an interest in open textbooks to a meeting on Wednesday, May 20th at 1330-1530 pm PDT (2130-2330 GMT or 2230-0030 CET). The meeting will be particularly focused on metadata, tagging, interoperability, accessibility, and repository efforts for open textbooks.
Agenda
- Welcome and Meeting Purpose: To facilitate coordination of metadata, tagging, interoperability, accessibility, and repository efforts for open textbooks
- Introductions: Name of attendee, Organizational affiliation, Organization's goals and needs
- Identify and summarize common goals and needs
- Share metatagging, interoperability, and accessibility guidelines for OER repositories
- Target 20 high-enrolment general education (transferable) courses for open textbook development
