Aims

• to support local community wifi networks (eg @ Freedom Bookshop, Whitechapel - PL)
• encourage wider uptake
• conduct research into long-term implications of wifi networks, notably funding: corporate, governmental, services tax
• promote rural broadband access

Methods:

• wifi 'publicity stunt': Trafalgar Sq? Westminster Sq?
• Westminster council: have they already set up infrastructure?
• economic analysis to demonstrate efficiency of model.
• lobby as necessary.

Issues:

• interference / licensing of frequencies
• security
