Agenda

Chapter focus

Initially, we propose the following goals for the Brazilian chapter (you can suggest changes or other goals on the mailing list or the discussion page):

  1. raise awareness on and promote open government data and facilitate the dialogue between civil society and government about this issue
  2. run and create sustainable open knowledge projects on local content, such as the government data projects "Where does my money go", "They work for you", "What do they know"
  3. use the projects above among others to make scientific research on government data
  4. bring together open content communities and people who share Open Knowledge Foundation vision (in Portuguese) to create projects and promote free/open knowledge
  5. foster a datajournalism community in Brazil

Important: the community we want to build is nonprofit and nonpartisian, and the main goal is to persue OKFn vision with sustainable projects and a vibrant community.
