Main Screens
General Comments
From RP: 2010-05-28
- Some issues with Victorian style (tho' overall like it). Feel sometimes little at odds with the iconography and a couple of people have mentioned how the curlices etc can be a visually distracting/lead to lack of clarity (e.g. in daily bread separation between "interesting" and "main" group isn't as clear because of similarity of separators and not sure how new level appearance would work when from a group not in the centre e.g. Our Streets on far right ...)
- Probably need more colour -- sure this is already under consideration
- Iconography. Really nice. Some of the icons are too detailed to be instantly recognisable. (e.g. riot gear man isn't as clear as he might be etc) but sure more is planned here. Good to get vector, or better, line-art versions, that we can scale up, and tiny versions we can scale down?
- Need more info on things like transitions (within and across views) and details (e.g. ballpark, official source, personal/global switcher etc).
Daily Bread
From RP (2010-05-28):
- Worried that there is a lack of distinction between "key areas" and "interesting" -- perhaps can handle this via colouring or could move this on the screen.
- Also wonder how we deal with extra levels given screen real estate issues? Currently have 3 available in some areas at the moment and 3 levels + interesting may be too much.
- Possible to get a source vector/bitmap for others to play around with.

From RP (2010-05-28):
- Really nice.
- Colour seems essential for distinguishing grouping
- Need to think about transitions

Compar-o-tron
Compar-o-tron A: Side-by-side Bars
Would replace existing regional comparison.
- However discussion about this at the moment. Depending on time requirements may keep existing regional comparison.

Iconography and text to indicate where figures are precise or inaccurate.
Iconography
Current iconography is nice but may need extending and careful examination
