subject: Open Shakespeare Project
Hi,
I hope people won't mind me posting to the list about the Open Shakespeare project which has recently seen its sixth update:
<http://www.openshakespeare.org/>
In a nut-shell Open Shakespeare project aims to provide a complete *open* [1] set of Shakespeare's works, together with ancillary information and tools, in a form designed for reuse. More details about the project can be found below.
Regards,
[your name]
## About
The Open Shakespeare project has two main objectives:
1. Provide the complete works of shakespeare, along with textual apparatus (introduction, notes) and tools (concordance, search etc) all in an open form.
2. Deliver this material as a knowledge package that allows for easy deployment, redistribution and reuse.
Specifically we provide a full open set of shakespeare’s works along with ancillary material, a variety of tools and a python API. In addition to the works themselves (often in multiple versions) there is an introduction, a chronology, a concordance and search facilities.
All material is open source/open knowledge so that anyone can use, redistribute and reuse these materials freely.
